Full-Time Contract Role

Title or Role: Senior Design Engineer

Compensation: Up to $ 60/hr. commensurate with experience

Location: West Greenwich RI Hybrid

Length of Contract: 6+ months

Company: This is a role within the RCM Life Sciences Solution team to support projects at one of our Biotechnology clients.

Position Description:

Highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Design Engineer with over 10 years of expertise in facility design and infrastructure projects. Proven track record of leading complex design projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering innovative solutions. Strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to sustainability and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the design and development of facility infrastructure projects, including water, gas, and electrical systems.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Conducts feasibility studies, site assessments, and risk analyses to determine optimal design solutions.
  • Prepares detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD and other design software.
  • Oversees construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implements sustainable design practices to enhance energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
  • Mentors and provides guidance to junior engineers and design staff.
  • Designs and develops utility systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring compliance and successful execution through collaboration with stakeholders and accurate data gathering.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical facility design and construction.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency AutoCAD and Design Software
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with Sustainable Design Practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Required Certifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Certified Utility Design Professional (CUDP)
  • OSHA Safety Certification

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
