Research Associate I or II

12-month contract

Lexington, MA

Purpose:

Support multiple research projects focused on accelerating the evaluation and clinical translation of RNA-based therapies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform siRNA compound screening and structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies
• Execute cellular/molecular biology techniques:
• Mammalian cell culture
• RNA extraction & RT-qPCR
• Protein extraction & western blots
• ELISA and MSD assays
• Histology techniques: IHC, in situ hybridization, standard staining
• Conduct in vivo testing: mouse dosing (SC/IV), necropsy, sample analysis
• Analyze and present experimental data in team meetings
• Maintain detailed lab notebooks and write SOPs and technical reports
• Collaborate closely with the research team to address key efficacy questions

Qualifications:

• Level I: Associate’s degree + 1–3 years lab experience
• Level II: BS/BA + 3–4 years in drug discovery (pharma preferred)
• Must have hands-on experience with qPCR and western blotting
• Animal handling and dosing experience preferred
• Flow cytometry/cell sorting a plus
• Strong communication skills, team collaboration, and ability to drive projects forward independently
