Project Manager
Location: On-site/hybrid, Wailuku, Maui

Compensation: Starting at $30/hour
Maui Nō Ka ʻOi Magazine is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Project Manager to support our editorial and publishing teams by keeping production workflows on track. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive and tech-savvy – someone who excels in making complex processes run smoothly behind the scenes.
You’ll coordinate freelance contributors, manage project schedules, facilitate internal communications and handle a variety of administrative tasks that support publishing across multiple departments and brands.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage editorial and production schedules for internal staff and freelance contributors
• Coordinate freelance writers and photographers
• Track content flow – from submission through editing, approval, publishing and archiving
• Monitor shared inboxes and respond to editorial inquiries
• Schedule and manage internal production meetings; track action items and send deadline or materials alerts
• Manage CRM systems
• Manage project management tools
• Identify workflow pain points and initiate solutions using technology, systems and communication
Qualifications
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Tech-savvy and adaptable – quick to learn new tools
• Experienced in using generative AI in the workplace
• Proficient in project management platforms such as SmartSheet, Jira and Monday.com
• Proficient in CRM and automation tools such as HubSpot and Salesforce
• Experience in publishing, media, marketing or administrative support is helpful but not required
