Maxam Tire North America: Operations Manager

Position Report : National Distribution Manager

Summary/Objective

Maxam Tire, a subsidiary of the Sailun Group, is a global manufacturer and distributor of specialty off-the-road tires.

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for supporting our business strategy centered around our core mission of being a “Business Solutions Provider” and our vision of “Ensuring the Quality of the Customer Experience” in the Specialty Tire market segment. Coordination will be required with Maxam Sales and Shared Service Supply Chain group. This position works directly with Maxam entity President, V.P. of Sales and Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and the Shared Service group of Sailun.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for all operations of facility including staff, assets, and warehouse responsibilities.
  • Responsible for all recruiting, onboarding, training, and evaluation of all new employees.
  • Responsible for all warehouse safety protocols by establishing and monitoring security procedures and training.
  • Responsible that all KPI’s, inventory and OPEX annual budgets are met.
  • Maintain facility design and improvements to maximize the footprint and inventory of the warehouse.
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving.
  • Effectively conduct inventory management. Stock level reporting, Cycle counting and yearend inventory.
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Ensures that all LTL and TL customer requirements are met by company policies.
  • Responsible for all scheduling, payroll, and PTO approvals in ADP.
  • Responsible for all activities are planned and executed safely, efficiently, in accordance with procedures, codes, and regulations, with a high regard for customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a liaison with customers, sales team, and vendors to support all business objectives.
  • Manage all resources and work within established budgets using plan, scheduled and project control methods.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Travel

  • National and International travel are required but limited to coordinated activities.

Minimum of 5 year of warehouse management experience preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment

Post-Secondary degree or diploma preferred or equivalent number of years of experience.
