Location : Manhattan, KS

Pay Rate : $20/hr - $30/hr

Duration: 6 month C2H

Interview process: 1 round in-person interview (can be flexible with a team's interview)

Interview Times : Thursday Afternoon

Hours: 40 hours a week, flex time available, typical shift 7:30-4pm

Must Haves:

• 2+ years of HVAC experience
• May entertain 1 year IF they have a vocational degree (education can be substituted for experience)
• Open to industry, residential experience, dining centers, commercial, or any relevant field
• EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certificate
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to lift 50lb.
• Able to work outdoors

Plusses:

• Any journeyman level experience
• Preferred to be licensed
• Mechanical Journeyman or Master Mechanical license

Day-to-Day:

A client of Insight Global is seeking an HVAC technician to join their team. This position exists to provide highly skilled HVAC services to the campus community to allow for personal comfort in the various buildings on campus at the advanced/ master level. Must participate in the mandatory on-call program, in which 24-hour emergency availability is required. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and all repairs on central heating and air conditioning systems, exhaust fans, and fume hoods. It also includes troubleshooting and repairing refrigeration, electrical, electronic, and plumbing components

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Diagnoses problems and repairs commercial equipment including walk/in freezers, upright/chest type refrigerators, ice machines, milk machines, ice cream machines and water coolers.
• Checks, conducts and follows preventive maintenance schedule on highly technical chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, vacuum pumps and related controls and equipment in a large complex of residence halls.
• Installs, services, and maintains energy management systems, HVAC, air conditioning and heat pump systems and equipment in a variety of large residence halls and foodservice facilities.
• Services electrical and plumbing components related to refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
• Performs other duties including recordkeeping, organizing tools. Participates in work activities as a productive and engaged team member.
