Job Title: Project Scheduler

Location: New York, NY
Salary: $130,000 - $180,000

About the Company:

We are currently partnering with a highly respected general contractor in New York City specializing in the construction of high-rise buildings. This company is known for delivering high-quality, cutting-edge projects that shape the city's skyline. Due to continued growth and an exciting pipeline of upcoming projects, they are looking for a talented Project Scheduler to join their team.

Position Overview:

As a Project Scheduler , you will be responsible for ensuring that the project stays on track with regard to timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. You'll work closely with a dynamic team of professionals, including project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, to develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules for complex high-rise construction projects. Your work will be essential in ensuring that all phases of the construction process are completed efficiently, within budget, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules for high-rise construction projects, ensuring accurate sequencing of all tasks and milestones.

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to collect the necessary information and ensure smooth coordination across all teams.

  • Monitor the progress of projects and proactively address potential delays or scheduling conflicts, working to resolve issues before they impact deadlines.

  • Generate and present regular status reports to internal teams and clients, highlighting key milestones, progress, and any potential schedule risks.

  • Provide ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle, including assisting with procurement, planning, and execution phases.

  • Analyze and adjust schedules to ensure resource availability, track critical paths, and maintain project deadlines.

  • Conduct detailed reviews of contractor and subcontractor schedules to ensure alignment with the overall project timeline.

  • Utilize project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project) to monitor and update schedules.

  • Attend regular project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders to keep everyone on track.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).

  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience as a Project Scheduler in construction, with a focus on high-rise or large-scale projects.

  • Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of scheduling software such as Procore, Primavera P6, or MS Project.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, project sequencing, and scheduling techniques like Critical Path Method (CPM).

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various project stakeholders.

  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to foresee potential issues and proactively resolve them.

  • Other: Familiarity with New York City construction codes and regulations is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • LEED Certification or knowledge of sustainable construction practices.

  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification.
