Job Description

As a Locator Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and accuracy of utility locating in the field. Your day-to-day will involve identifying and marking the location of underground utilities—like gas and electric lines—using maps, blueprints, and advanced tools such as electronic locators and radar. You'll be responsible for keeping detailed Daily Progress Reports and documenting all site information and interactions in our internal software. Communication is key in this role, as you'll regularly interact with customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure everyone stays informed and aligned. You'll also help keep residents in the loop by posting informational door tags about our inspection procedures. Most importantly, you'll be expected to uphold our high standards by following all company procedures and maintaining strong, professional relationships with clients and team members alike.

• Ensure accurate locates of existing below ground facilities.
• Communicate progress with team
• Accurate reporting
• Ability to grow and start up a new project.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior field or locator experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel.
• Valid driver's license for fieldwork and site visits. 
• Must pass a DOT-compliant drug screening.
