JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Salesforce Business Analyst with 7+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Salesforce platforms, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure and user-centric Salesforce solutions. Acting as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, you will lead discovery, craft detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, clarify functional questions for developers and drive process improvements that deliver measurable business value. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priority and a passion for enabling business transformation through technology. Lead and facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and requirement-gathering meetings to ensure alignment on priorities and objectives.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze and document business requirements; translate them into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria (e.g., Gherkin) for Salesforce delivery teams.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and requirement-gathering meetings; ensure alignment of priorities, objectives and success criteria.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business units and IT teams, partnering with Salesforce Developers, Solution Architects, Product Owners and QA teams to ensure successful end-to-end delivery.
  • Create and maintain process flows, functional specifications, data definitions, and configuration workbooks for Salesforce implementations.
  • Perform gap analysis across current vs. target state; recommend process improvements grounded in Lean/Agile principles and organizational standards.
  • Define and validate declarative configurations (Flows, validation rules, page layouts, Lightning App Builder, Dynamic Forms, permission sets, reports & dashboards).
  • Support UAT by preparing test plans and scenarios; coordinate test execution, defect triage, and sign off with business stakeholders.
  • Partner with Release Management to assess Salesforce seasonal release notes; recommend and prioritize relevant enhancements to optimize business processes and user experience.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, quick reference guides and enablement sessions, support change management initiatives related to Salesforce implementations.
  • Ensure data integrity, security and compliance with governance standards; define field-level security, roles/profiles, and data quality KPIs.
  • Collaborate with integration teams to define interface contracts and mappings for APIs/ETL (e.g., MuleSoft, REST/SOAP), document non-functional requirements and dependencies.
  • Maintain canonical documentation in Confluence or similar repositories; contribute to backlog grooming and release planning in Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Track and communicate delivery status, risks and issues; escalate blockers, propose mitigations, and drive decision-making with cross-functional partners.
  • Stay updated with Salesforce releases and emerging technologies, recommending relevant enhancements to optimize business processes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, with 5+ years focused on Salesforce projects.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud; familiarity with Marketing Cloud and Experience Cloud is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce declarative configuration: Flows (preferred over legacy Process Builder), validation rules, Lightning App Builder, Dynamic Forms, permissions sets, reports & dashboards.
  • Proven ability to write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria; experience with backlog refinement and spring ceremonies.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Lucidchart/Visio, and the Microsoft 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills; comfortable leading workshops and UAT.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Change Management (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR), Project Management, or Process Improvement principles (Lean Six Sigma).
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Business Analyst, Platform App Builder) preferred
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and familiarity with product ownership practices preferred.
  • Exposure to integration tools and APIs (e.g., MuleSoft, REST/SOAP) and understanding of ETI/data migration patterns (e.g., Data Loader) preferred.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools like Copado or Gearset and CI/CD processes and release governance preferred.
  • Understanding of Peoplesoft Financials or similar ERP systems is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency with SOQL and Salesforce data model best practices.
  • This position will be a hybrid role and requires at least 3 days in-office per week
