JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global has an immediate need for an Industrial Senior Technician to support various mechanical and Industrial Wastewater services in our Plainville, Connecticut office. This position offers a diverse mix of projects and hands-on experience across several service areas and operating divisions. The primary role involves field installations for industrial projects and systems, focusing on plumbing installs and operations/maintenance (O&M) activities. The senior technician will perform plumbing installations and various O&M tasks in industrial manufacturing settings, either independently or as part of a crew of up to four technicians. Typical tasks include installing plastic, copper, or steel pipe/tubing, and handling industrial pumps or mixers. Manual dexterity, technical skills, project understanding, and mechanical aptitude are crucial for success. Reading instructions from work plans, manuals, drawings, and schematics is essential. Training and adherence to safety practices are mandatory while performing all field activities.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 3 years of experience and a HS diploma, Technical School, or equivalent.
• Basic acumen with hand tools and troubleshooting tooling. Fundamental skills with powered tools (cordless tools, bandsaw, etc.) for cutting, drilling, and tapping.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Knowledge of repair and troubleshooting methods for remediation systems (e.g., groundwater/wastewater treatment).
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and equipment. • Proficiency in welding techniques.
• Familiarity with Lockout Tagout, OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and plumbing licensure. Intellectual curiosity and excellent hand-eye coordination.
