Job Description

The Opportunity:

Our client, a multidisciplinary consulting firm focusing on Engineering, Building Sciences, Environmental, Civil and Occupational Health and Safety solutions for clients. They are looking for a Project Manager Industrial Hygiene to assist their clients in making informed decisions regarding industrial hygiene, property acquisitions, re-development and contaminated sites management. This opportunity will be for their Berkely, MI, Oak Park, MI and/or Grand Rapids, MI offices.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and execute project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
  • Prepare and/or review technical work plans outlining project methodologies, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain positive client relationships through effective communication, and deliverables.
  • Generate comprehensive and accurate reports detailing projects progress, findings, and recommendations.
  • Work directly with clients and stakeholders to understand and manage the project goals, timeline, and milestones.
  • Manage project profitability by ensuring appropriate budgeting/pricing and utilization of resources and cost controls.
  • Be a public relations ambassador by being proactive in presenting and communicating the capabilities and strengths of the company to all publics.
  • Communicate and present potential new business or resource information, competitive situations, or technology/regulatory factors to leadership.

What you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience with Industrial Hygiene.
  • Must be a Michigan Accredited Asbestos Inspector and Certified Lead Inspector.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Ability to work in various settings and climates.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
