Ragle, Inc. is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Controls - Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in automating manual processes and enhancing project performance insights. Your primary focus will be on designing, building, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, performing data analysis with Python, and working with Microsoft Azure SQL for data management. You will be a key member of our project controls team to support operational excellence in heavy civil construction projects.

What You'll Do:

1) Data Visualization & Automation:

  • Build and maintain dynamic dashboards and visual reports in Power BI that capture key performance metrics.
  • Automate manual processes and reports that replace repetitive manual tasks.

2) Data Analysis & KPI Monitoring:

  • Use Python to conduct data analysis, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for project performance and other operational areas.
  • Collaborate with company leadership to analyze large datasets and define key performance indicators (KPIs) that proactively identify potential issues in our processes.

3) Database Management & Querying:

  • Design, maintain, and query SQL Azure databases to support data integrity and ensure timely data access.
  • Collaborate with IT and project teams to integrate various data sources, ensuring data consistency across systems.

4) Project Controls:

  • Analyze cost and schedule variances, contributing to performance reporting and forecasting.
  • Support dashboards and automated reports specifically related to construction project controls and financial tracking.

5) Process Improvement & Collaboration:

  • Identify opportunities for further automation and process optimization across the company.
  • Act as a liaison between data analytics and construction operations, ensuring technical solutions meet operational needs.

What You Bring:

1) Technical Proficiency:

  • Demonstrated expertise in Power BI for dashboard and report development.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Python for data analysis and trend discovery.
  • Intermediate SQL skills, with experience managing and querying SQL Azure databases.

2) Industry & Educational Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Preferred 1+ year of experience as a Data Analyst, ideally with exposure to construction or related project controls environments.
  • A keen interest in the construction industry and an understanding of project controls in heavy civil construction is a plus.

3) Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively share insights with decision makers and end users.
