Job Summary:

This role is responsible for verifying trade details, monitoring pricing, and updating various trading systems with actual movement information, based on supporting documentation received. The ideal candidate will be able to follow instructions accurately, solve problems effectively, and exhibit strong follow-up skills. They must also recognize when to escalate issues and know the appropriate channels for doing so. A proactive mindset is important—candidates should be able to look beyond their immediate tasks, ask relevant questions, and apply sound judgment in decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility is to ensure all settlement activities related to trade reconciliation, approval, and payment occur in a timely and accurate manner
  • Responsible for settlements for multiple ISOs such as ERCOT, ISONE, MISO, NYISO, PJM, SPP, including utilities and various counterpart settlements
  • Manage and resolve disputes with both internal and external parties on a timely manner
  • Work with Traders, Middle Office, Accounting and Management on any settlement related inquiries
  • Ensure correct banking instructions are applied to payments
  • Validate and enter new SSI into Fenergo with accordance to the approved process.
  • Create and submit the settlement packets for payment and forecast
  • Call counterparts to obtain confirmation of daily cash receipts. Follow up on cash fails
  • Special projects upon request by management

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance strongly preferred
  • 2–3 years of experience in power settlements is required
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, formulas, and pivot tables
  • Demonstrated sound decision-making ability and capability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility with work hours is essential
  • Experience with coding is a plus
