Summary:

  • Supports and aids the Shipping Supervisor and Shipping Manager in the shipment of products from warehouse to our customer. This position is located in Waukesha, WI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform shipping and receiving duties.
  • Support the shipment of finished goods produced for sale to our customers. Aid in production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
  • Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a high school education and one year of factory related experience in shipping and receiving.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to perform but not limited to the following tasks, be familiar with and able to interpret packing slips, enter into the computer the correct information, to acknowledge receipt of the goods into the purchase order and processing database.
  • Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements.
  • Must be familiar with chop saw. Understanding how to use in a safe & effective manner.
  • Must be familiar with a tape measure and how to interpret.
  • Must be familiar with Nail Gun and understand how to use in a safe & effective manner.
  • Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment and be a licensed forklift truck operator.
  • Experience with UPS/FEDEX online software is desirable. Experience with Netsuite/Pacejet software is a plus.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, operating instructions, assembly instructions and correspondence. Ability to solve basic math.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Physical Demands:

  • Required to lift up to 75+ lbs.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.

Work Environment:

  • Work performed in a combination of shop and office environments.
  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils.

Compensation Range: 

$17+ per hour plus incentives. No relocation benefits are available at this time.
