Position Summary:

The Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting daily operational functions, ensuring efficient workflow, and assisting in the coordination of projects and processes. This role involves working closely with the operations team, field staff, and leadership to maintain smooth business operations, troubleshoot challenges, and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Lead the coordination and execution of day-to-day flooring operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Support the operations team with scheduling projects, resource allocation, and workflow optimization
  • Assist in other operational responsibilities such as estimating, quality assurance, and warehouse duties
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to operational activities
  • Monitor project progress and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Assist with vendor and subcontractor coordination to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges by implementing process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Collaborate with team members across departments to support company objectives
  • Monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and coordinate deliveries to ensure adequate stock levels and timely fulfillment of orders
  • Manage administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and documentation, to maintain accurate records and support operational efficiency

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in operations support or a similar role, preferably in flooring installation, but other construction knowledge/experience acceptable
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational management software
  • Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and improve processes
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
