Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Culpeper, VA

Shift: 4/10 hour shifts – weekdays, no call, no holidays

Sign-On Bonus: $20,000

Salary: hourly, based on experience

Job Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist collaborates with radiologists to produce high-quality diagnostic images and deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Ensure patient safety and comfort within the radiology department. Clearly explain procedures and post-procedure instructions to patients to facilitate cooperation and reduce anxiety.
• Workflow Management: Prioritize tasks based on patient condition and ensure timely arrival and departure of patients.
• Patient Interaction: Create a supportive environment to foster patient cooperation and confidence.
• Continuous Improvement: Utilize patient satisfaction data and practice performance results to identify improvement opportunities and participate in the planning and implementation of enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
• Licensure: ARRT-N and/or NMTCB certification required.

Additional Requirements:

• Safety Equipment: May require the use of safety equipment, such as HEPA masks, for infection prevention.
• On-Call Responsibilities: As directed.
• Travel: Ability to travel between campus buildings, remote facilities, and out-of-town locations as needed.
