Job Description

We are hiring a Materials & Logistics Project Manager to support materials procurement, forecasting, and logistics operations for utility construction projects. This role coordinates material readiness, ordering, documentation, and issue resolution through SAP and Procore, supporting efficient field execution and alignment with construction schedules.

Responsibilities

• Review project details for material ordering including status and readiness
• Analyze materials summary list, verify against job sketch and design by location detail
• Analyze and project material availability by source according to projected construction schedule
• Order materials according to design stages from the appropriate sources and material availability assessed
• Record ordering reference details in the MCU or Work Order attachments
• Maintain purchase orders as design updates occur and as dates adjust to reflect the latest changes
• Manually update storeroom reservation dates
• Update pricing on purchase orders as requested
• Verify material deliveries
• Verify charging against work orders is accurate
• Review job sketch and design by location detail in project folders
• Upload and maintain materials workbook along with design update iterations
• Process material request submittals providing notations of completed ordering and of any critical electric materials
• Create RFIs for any material discrepancies requiring clarification
• Respond to RFIs
• Maintain workbooks to track projects with purchase orders, reservations, dates, crew details, yard details, and status updates
• Forecast materials using knowledge of substitutions, vendor/manufacturer changes, and non-stock items
• Download materials data from SAP by job number and match to P6 construction schedules
• Pull data from completed jobs as needed for forecasting
• Enter PO#s, Reservation #s, and ordering actions in MLP note in SAP
• Upload material workbook with PO#s and reservation #s into Procore project folders

Qualifications

• 5+ years in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or materials coordination
• Proficient in SAP (MM, PM modules) and Procore
• Familiar with construction schedules and material forecasting
• Experience in utility or infrastructure projects preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data
• Comfortable working across engineering, field, and procurement teams
• Strong communication, documentation, and organization skills

Annual Salary Range - $115,000 to $130,000
