Job Description

Job Title: Leaves Administrator

Duration: 18 Months Contract (Possibility of extension)

Location: Long Beach, CA (Majority) | Torrance, CA

Pay rate: $32/hr on w2 basis without benefits/holiday/vacation

***Position is Onsite, but the candidate may work remotely 1 day a week on Wednesday.***

Description:

  • The candidate is primarily responsible to manage 4 sites (2 sites in California and 2 sites in Oregon) (California Sites: Long Beach, CA and Torrance, CA, Oregon Sites: Portland, OR)
  • Someone who is really good in the follow ups.
  • Someone who can meet timelines.
  • Someone who is extremely good in making notes and strong documentation skills.
  • Someone who can provide exceptional customer service (internal direct hire employees).
  • The CW will be responsible and accountable for managing and monitoring employees PTO.
  • Someone who can take care of employees LOA.
  • Someone who can deal with employees pay and questions related to it.
  • Someone who is attention to details and go above and beyond to help others.
  • The CW will be assigned a Mentor in the initial phase to learn about the process.
  • Most importantly, somebody knows both state (CA and OR) laws would be an ideal candidate, but we are open to review candidates who has expertise in 1 state law and eager to lean other.
  • We are looking for someone with relevant background. No industry specific experience is mandatory.
  • Someone with strong experience in MS Suite (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Teams)

What we’re looking for:

Attention to detail, show good judgement, know when to escalate problems or concerns, What you’ll be doing:

  • Answer TM leave questions utilizing strong knowledge of CA, OR and Federal leave laws.
  • Provide TM paperwork to apply or extend leave.
  • Verify supporting documentation meets compliance, deadlines and is secured for privacy purposes.
  • Ensure TMs are put on LOA in WD and are also keyed upon return.
  • Follow up on missing information, clarification of doctor’s directions, etc.
  • Research and resolve any pay issues that exist in a timely manner to meet the TM needs.
  • Ensure timesheets are accurately completed.
  • Document SOPs for the processes that are also compliant with each contract.

Qualifications (Must Haves):

  • Strong LOA knowledge (how Federal and State laws apply)
  • Strong follow up and communication skills
  • Good organization
  • Good customer service skills
  • Administer a union contract, Oregon leave knowledge

Education Required:

High School Graduate/GED
