Summary

Portage Turf and Pest is looking to hire an experienced irrigation service manager/technician to help our customers with their irrigation needs. You will be responsible for helping our customers with repairs, adjustments and maintenance while contributing to the growth of the business by selling custom installs and services that fit the customer's needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee irrigation and lighting operation
• Installation of new landscape irrigation systems
• Repairs of irrigation systems including diagnostics and troubleshooting of electronics
• Winterization of irrigation systems
• Strong safe working environment
• Proper operation and maintenance of irrigation systems
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Able to work independently
• Highly motivated with attention to detail
• Experience with a Customer Service Program and Office 365
• Quote and sell irrigation needs to customers
• Maintain accurate records of sales and quotes
• Order supplies
• Inventory of supplies

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years of irrigation installation
• Past experience managing 2 or more individuals
• High school diploma/GED.
• Be able to lift 75 pounds and possess the ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in cramped, uncomfortable environments.
• Familiarity with electrical and irrigation systems.
• Clean driving record with minimal points.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
