Overview

Turbopower, LLC (“ Turbopower ” or the “ Company ”) is a rapidly growing provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for gas turbine engines and component parts to military and commercial customers worldwide. The Company primarily services Pratt & Whitney PT6 and Rolls-Royce T56 engines and holds numerous quality and customer certifications, including FAA Part 145 repair station and Rolls-Royce Authorized Maintenance Center certification. Turbopower operates out of a state-of-the-art 100,000 square foot facility with on-site engine test cells. Turbopower is an affiliate of Battle Investment Group, LLC and is based in Miami, FL.

Turbopower is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to assume the role of Engineer. The individual will be responsible for diagnosing engine issues, coordinating repair procedures, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the efficient management of projects while ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The Engineer will collaborate with cross functional teams, manage technical documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing programs from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with all internal, customer, and regulatory standards, while effectively communicating project expectations to team members in a clear and timely manner as required.
  • Responsible for the analysis of the operations, implementation of lean manufacturing principles, spearhead process improvements to optimize workflows and reducing waste. Drive initiatives focused on continuous improvement, enhancing overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drawing and manual interpretation, parts repair scheme design, test cell & operational performance, tooling equipment improvement, calibration, and troubleshooting of engine problems, both in-house and in the field.
  • Conduct continuous analysis of operational processes, apply lean manufacturing principles, and spearhead process improvements to streamline workflows. Drive initiatives focused on continuous improvement, enhancing overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work instruction writing & revisions, as well as build documents revisions. Tooling, fixturing, & ground support equipment reviews for open issues or improvements as well.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to define and complete new and existing business improvements and projects through implementing Lean Six Sigma and project management tools.
  • Compiling engineering condition reports to address customer queries, generate engine/component failure reports, and provide technical information to support the warranty committee in assessing liability.
  • Provide technical feedback or clarification of service bulletins or other technical information regarding repairs or processes. Review, classify, and coordinate implementation of technical data, bulletins, and directives.
  • Research records and technical data, to determine work scope content for engines and component repairs and to determine their return to service acceptance.
  • Working knowledge with the systems in operations & maintenance, depot level repairs, and familiarity with historic failure modes and upgrades over its history is required.
  • Responsible for ensuring the engine test cells meet operational requirements including continuing correlations.
  • Perform all other similar or related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Engineering in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Aerospace environment is required and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or related field.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components, must be able to read aircraft schematics & systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS365 suite of software tools - Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, AS-9110, or other process improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Experience with Quantum and A&P license strongly preferred.
