This is a hands-on role. Most of your time will be spent in the lab testing formulations and processes. The rest will focus on researching new ingredients and methods, documenting your work, and traveling to manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Sensory Evaluation:
  • Conduct sensory evaluations to assess product flavor, texture, and appearance.
  • Analyze consumer feedback and preferences.
  • Perform laboratory experiments, including physical property measurements.

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 2+ industry experience in the food science field.
  • A strong curiosity and desire to discover the latest food technologies that can enable the design of high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that taste delicious.
  • A desire to challenge traditional methods and experiment.
  • High IQ/intellectual horsepower and accuracy.
  • A self-starting attitude with a love for executing on ideas and moving quickly.
  • Humble, self-aware, and curious.
  • A desire to build an early-stage CPG company with a mission to design tools to increase muscle and decrease body fat.
  • A strong EQ and a love for providing a great experience.
  • A self-starting attitude with a love for executing on ideas and moving quickly.
  • The ability to operate independently while clearly communicating your priorities and initiatives to the rest of the team.

Practicalities:

  • This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York City. We work onsite five days a week — when the culture fits, it is fun to be in the office together.
  • Salary: $90 - $120K per year, inclusive of cash bonus based on attainment of company targets.
  • Company equity opportunity on top of cash compensation.
  • 100% covered Health, Vision, Dental Insurance.
  • 401(k) with 4% match.
  • Additional perks, such as covered gym expenses.
  • Substantial and required PTO.

Application Process :

  • Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis.
