Job Description

Simply Embroidered/Arden and Gold is currently seeking a full-time Embroidery Machine Operator. The primary responsibilities of the person in this role are to ensure orders are embroidered accurately, on time, and in conjunction with our quality standards. The person in this position will be responsible for embroidering garments and accessories using embroidery machines.

Arden and Gold is a small, but rapidly growing, online boutique specializing in personalized apparel and accessories. Arden and Gold is seeking a highly detail-oriented individual who likes to be on their feet, enjoys a collaborative work environment, and possesses a creative lens and a professional demeanor. All team members work together performing various duties, including, but not limited to, operation of embroidery equipment, embossing equipment, order preparation, quality assurance, and shipping. All training will be provided! This is not a factory position, but a boutique atmosphere.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Produce orders by following established standard operating procedures.

- Quickly learn and identify our products, font and thread color options, and processes to ensure efficient workflow

-Prepare inventory and place backing and/or topping as needed

- Ensure high quality and accurate embroidery per customer specifications, sizing, and placement standards

-Selects correct product type, product quantities, product size, thread color, and monogram/embroidery file for production

-Maintain daily production logs with a goal of 120 pieces embroidered per 8-hour shift (after training/introductory period)

- Follow preventative maintenance procedures on embroidery machines

- Ensure smooth transition from the embroidery stage to the shipping stage by organizing completed orders neatly

- Effectively communicate order information or questions to necessary departments

- Follow policies and procedures to troubleshoot embroidery-based issues that may arise, under limited supervision, that are in line with our mission and goals

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, EDUCATION

- Associates Degree required; preference given to individuals with a creative background

- Experience with embroidery machines is a plus, but not required (training will be provided)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

- Highly detail-oriented with an eye for quality

- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently

- Ability to keep up with fast-paced production

- Willingness to contribute to a team atmosphere with a professional and cheerful demeanor

- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

- Work is generally performed in a casual upbeat office environment and requires interaction with others. Coffee provided! Job tasks for this position are generally performed standing for long periods at a time.

-Job tasks for this position are physically demanding. This job requires a lot of movement and standing for long periods at a time. Must possess ability to lift up to 30lbs.

- This is a Monday-Friday, full-time, hourly position which reports to our office.
