About the role:

Elemental Machines is looking for an experienced Electronics Assembler

The Electronics Assembler is responsible for in-house building of Elemental Machines IoT devices and associated cables and peripherals. In this role you perform final assembly on devices, build cables and maintain accurate records. There is a wide mix of devices which results in a variety of work.

This is a full-time, hourly position. The candidate must reside in the Greater Boston area and operate out of our Cambridge, MA office.

Responsibilities:

• Perform final assembly on IoT devices
• Flash IoT devices with operating systems and application software
• Build cable assemblies and harnesses to connect IoT devices to peripherals, which includes occasional soldering
• Assist with incoming inspection on devices that are manufactured at contract manufacturers or returned from the field
• Rework of printed circuit board assemblies, when necessary
• Assist with inventory management

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in box level assembly of electronic devices, including the creating of appropriate records
• Experience following detailed assembly instructions
• Experience with soldering, particularly cables and wiring harnesses and rework of printed circuit board assemblies
• Experience using software to burn images onto devices
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
