Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Clinical Communications & Virtual Health Program Manager to lead and evolve our strategy for clinician communication tools and virtual care delivery. This role sits at the intersection of clinical operations, technology, and patient-centered innovation—driving how information is communicated among care teams and how care is extended beyond hospital walls.

This leader will oversee initiatives related to nurse call systems, shared iPhone models, clinician badges, middleware, and routing platforms that ensure timely, accurate delivery of clinical alerts. The role also requires a deep understanding of virtual health delivery, with a focus on both inpatient virtual care and hospital-at-home/home monitoring models as we scale these services in the coming year and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive strategy for clinical communications across nursing and provider workflows.
  • Oversee current and future-state virtual health initiatives, including inpatient virtual care, remote patient monitoring, and hospital-at-home models.
  • Evaluate and optimize tools such as nurse call systems, mobile badges, shared iPhones, middleware, routing engines, and on-call platforms.
  • Collaborate with clinical, technical, and operational leaders to define program goals, success metrics, and implementation timelines.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination to ensure seamless deployment and integration of communication and virtual care technologies.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the clinical environment to ensure that solutions enhance, rather than disrupt, clinical workflows.
  • Provide leadership in project planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication for current-year implementation and future growth phases.
  • Act as a liaison between clinical end-users and technical teams to translate needs into actionable technology solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Clinical Informatics, Nursing, Health IT, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in clinical technology or health IT program management, ideally with a focus on communication tools and/or virtual care.
  • Familiarity with nurse call systems, mobile communication platforms (iPhones, badges), and clinical alerting/routing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile hardware, wireless networks, and middleware platforms in clinical settings.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, enterprise-scale programs involving diverse clinical and technical teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence across departments.
  • Experience with inpatient and/or home-based virtual care delivery models is strongly preferred.

Preferred:

  • Clinical background (e.g., RN, respiratory therapy, etc.) or direct experience working with bedside care teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and standards (e.g., HIPAA, remote monitoring guidelines).
  • Experience implementing shared device models in healthcare settings.
