Job Description

Position Overview:

Korn Ferry has partnered with a leading Private Equity firm seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Client Onboarding Associate to join the Investor Relations team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new investors across our private equity and credit strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of fund structures, and the ability to navigate complex documentation requirements while providing white-glove service to institutional and high-net-worth clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new clients during the onboarding process.
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of client onboarding, including KYC/AML checks, subscription documentation, and investor portal setup.
  • Liaise with internal teams (Legal, Compliance, Operations, IR, and Fund Administration) to ensure accurate and timely completion of onboarding tasks.
  • Review and process subscription agreements and investor documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Monitor and track onboarding progress, proactively identifying and resolving potential bottlenecks.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
  • Maintain detailed client records and onboarding documentation in CRM and data management systems.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of onboarding workflows, tools, and procedures.
  • Provide status updates and reporting to senior management and relationship managers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a client onboarding, investor relations, or operations role within the private equity, credit, or broader asset management space.
  • Working knowledge of AML/KYC regulations and best practices.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills with a client-first mindset.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with investor portals or CRM systems (Salesforce) is a plus.
