Job Description

We’re hiring an experienced Fiber Optic Splicing Technician to join our growing team! This role is ideal for a hands-on technician with a strong background in OSP/ISP fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing for commercial, utility, or data center environments.

Responsibilities:

• Install, splice, terminate, and troubleshoot fiber optic cables (single-mode and ribbon)
• Interpret and follow splice diagrams, fiber maps, and blueprints
• Perform fusion splicing and prepare fiber enclosures and trays
• Test and validate fiber using OTDR, Power Meter, and Light Source
• Handle mid-span entries, ring cuts, and furcation of large-strand-count fiber
• Maintain clean, organized cabling in accordance with safety and BICSI standards
• Communicate effectively with team members, project leads, and clients

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with fiber splicing, OSP/ISP installation, or telecom construction
• Proficient with fusion splicing tools and fiber test equipment (OTDR, OLTS, etc.)
• Ability to read splice documentation, fiber cut sheets, and schematics
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and in various site conditions
• OSHA 10 certification preferred

Nice to Have:

• EXFO OTDR experience
• BICSI certification
• CPR, confined space, or lift certification
• Experience on data center or municipal fiber projects
