Job Description

Full-Time BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) and School Aide

San Francisco, CA (Private School Setting and Private Household)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week

Compensation: $150,000–$175,000 annually; monthly medical stipend available

A San Francisco family is seeking a full-time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support their young child in a small classroom setting at a private school. The BCBA will collaborate closely with instructional staff, therapists, and the family to foster a structured, supportive learning environment tailored to the child’s developmental, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accompany the child to school daily and provide in-class support
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and use data to guide behavioral goals
  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and the family to ensure consistent support across settings
  • Integrate behavioral strategies throughout the school day, including during transitions, peer interactions, and academic activities
  • Coach and support school staff on behavioral strategies and best practices
  • Maintain thorough documentation of progress; adjust goals as needed
  • Participate in regular team meetings to review progress and align strategies
  • Foster a nurturing, emotionally supportive relationship with the child

Ideal Candidate

  • BCBA in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting children with autism or related developmental differences
  • Experience in school-based settings, ideally private or specialized education environments
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
  • Professionalism, adaptability, empathy, and discretion
  • Deep commitment to supporting neurodiverse learners with compassion and respect
